Lessons from yoga
If you’re practising a headstand.
If, while you are practising a headstand, your teacher gives you advice.
Even if it’s advice you are in complete agreement with. Even if it is advice that sets off little lights of understanding blinking and flashing all over your mind. Even if you feel the utmost need to express your sudden understanding and complete agreement with the advice.
Even if all this applies, remember that you are practising a headstand.
Do not nod.

Amazingly, no damage (as far as I can tell).
I used to "fake" headstand, supporting on head-and-hands (it's easier to keep control coming up, but the head takes a lot of weight). Now I'm doing the proper version supported on the whole length of my forearms (you can actually lift your head entirely off the ground, taking all the weight on your arms). If I was doing it the old lazy way it could have been much worse.
ouch.
