Olga has written a post describing her experiences with the Greek education system and what she thinks mathematics education should be.

My dream was to manage one day to become a teacher of mathematics in order to do what I saw no teacher doing. To explain to young students how to play mathematics. (One might suggest that the word “play” in the previous sentence needs to be in quotation marks. But I insist that it is unnecessary.)

There is more coming, and I’m excited to see what it will be.

Just so you know, for some reason your name comes out as \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ÎŸÎ»Î³Î±. I keep editing it to ÎŒÎ»Î³Î±, which is why you keep being moderated. Odd and annoying. How are you typing it? (My version: Greek keyboard, ÎŒ is one accented letter.)
