Jetlag: it has its benefits
I got back from three weeks in New Zealand just a few days ago. That’s a twelve hour time difference, so adjusting is not entirely painless. But there’s an upside too: this morning I woke up at 6am and wanted to get out of bed.
Those who know me in person will know just how un-heard-of this is. But it gets better: I did yoga (for the third day running) and still got to work a whole hour earlier than usual.
I don’t expect this state of affairs to last. But I’m doing my best to encourage it, by going to bed early and not reading in bed. Who knows, this might be just the impetus I need to turn into a morning person!1

No worries, I remember how that goes. We're coming back around this time next year though, so be finished by then!
(I suspect you got moderated because of the subspecies specification. Presumably won't happen again, until you change your spots.)
Ah, this explains why I awoke an hour late today.
(Sorry to have missed you, but dissertation trumps all at present.)
