90 Strings
I’ve made a long-overdue update to my page about our instrument family. It now includes recent arrivals like the bouzouki (last summer), 12-string mandolin (winter of 2010 I think), and lavta (just this month, and the main impetus for the update).

90 strings (91 if we restring the lute guitar)
No fire hazard jokes, please.

Most, for varying values of "play". The saz and kemane we don't play at all; the lute guitar and 12-string mandolin are broken; the rest we use. Although oud, ney and lavta are "work in progress" (we play ’em, but badly).
Wow...how would it sound if they all played together? Now there's a summer challenge for you- surely you must have enough musical friends to throw a party, and let the whole family sing.
Hi, Tikitu! Since you are a fun of rembetiko take a look on this http://www.rebetikoseminar.com/index.php/gr/2011-11-23-06-27-57
Actually this year we will go to the Music Village in August.
Impressive. How many of these can you play?
